Canal Building
Loft apartments often rely on deep plans with a limited amount of windows. In order to avoid carving the space into deep and narrow rooms, we looked at placing the bedrooms at the back, and using shutters and screens to separate them from the living spaces.
A home office was housed within a painted MDF and timber 'pod', with a corner doorway that opened up to allow for a seamless connection between it and the living area when not in use as a sleeping or working space. The main elements were all fully pre-fabricated as off-site joinery pieces, and then re-assembled in situ, for the utmost speed of construction.
